The Native Americans lived and traveled through the Heber Valley long before the pioneers showed up. The native people to the Utah area would make the foothills below Mount Timpanogos their summer home. This inspiring painting captures what once was and preserves the memory of this great native people. The painting features the classic teepee, drying racks, and horses that only the more modern natives had. The gorgeous accuracy of the Timpanaogos Mountain is reminiscint of a real photo. Looking at the far right of the mountain you can see Brighams horse, named after Brigham Young who helped create the state of Utah.
