In spanish Los Caciques means "The Chiefs". This was a painting that Vernon created based on a picture he saw in Pisac Peru. Vernon served a church mission in Argentina in 1950-1952. To get home he was given a travel stipend. Instead of traveling by boat, he opted to travel over land allowing Vernon to explore south and central America on his journey home.
